Just east of Eagle Chief Creek, one of Cherokee Strip Outlet's first pioneers was laid to rest in 1903 in what is now known as Aline Star Cemetery. The cemetery's first plot was dug nearly four years before Alfalfa County and the State of Oklahoma were established, and the cemetery, founded on June 3 of the same year, has grown to accommodate more than 1,100 residents who contributed to the settlement and growth of present-day Alfalfa County.
